*1:歌詞カードや譜面などでは、「I can hear you speak」となっているが、ミックはハッキリと「I can hear you state！」と歌っている。歌のほんのはじめのところだが、ミックの歌うその「state」の語はけっこうゾクッと来る一瞬である。

*2:ダンサーの彼女が騎上位でターンするわけですヨ。「pirouettes」というのはダンス用語で「つま先旋回」のこと（この場合は「つま先」ではありませんね）。

*3:「get one's rocks off」を「射精」と訳すべきなのは「（岩のように）固いものをしぼませる」という文字どおりの意味から頷ける（スラングというか）（つまり）慣用的な表現です。

*4:ただの日々の食事のようにも思えるが、クスリの精製作業のようにも思えなくもない。わたしは、この歌の主人公は実は売人ではないかと睨んでいる。最初のスタンザの「（最近）全然、姿を見せないガキ」は常連の顧客なのではないかと思う。

*5:御法度の注射ことです、いけませんなあ。
