日曜日の朝は、尼さんみたいに忍び足
月曜の浮かない気分も靴紐を結んででかけていった。
「Monday's child」というのは、月曜日の産物ってことで、
月曜日のあの「やだなあ」って気分のこと。
それが「靴紐の結び方を覚えた」ということは、ってワケ。
Tuesday afternoon is never ending
というのは、まだ火曜日、週末は遠いなァって意味で、
「いつ終わるとも知れない火曜日の午後」なのでしょう。
で、なぜか木曜日は、

木曜の夜にはストッキングも繕いが必要なほど
なのですが、むかしの歌なのでストッキングの品質もよろしくない、
