*1:もともとは単に「It's A Man's World'」というタイトルになるはずだったが、ＪＢご本人が、１９６３年にヒットしたシネラマの喜劇映画「おかしな・おかしな。おかしな世界」It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.（スタンリー・クレイマー監督、スペンサー・トレーシー、ミッキー・ルーニージェリー・ルイス主演）にあやかって、かくのごとく「It's A Man's Man's Man's World」とあいなったということだ。

*2:もちろん、この「男は・・・」は（長い人類史を経て）（英語では）「人間は・・・」と同義の語であることは言うまでもないだろう。まさしく「マンズ・マンズ・マンズ・ワールド」であったというわけだ。
